Hey Everyone,

Wanted to tell all of you about a neat app we're developing, called Flexilis.

It's a mobile security suite for Windows Mobile devices, that keeps your device and data safe from loss, theft, hackers, viruses, malware, spam, and more.

We've currently opened signups for our private beta testing, if you're interested in checking it out, just hit up http://beta.flexilis.com and sign up, and feel free to chat about the product here, and if you like it, even maybe tell your friends! :-)

If anyone has questions or runs into trouble, just shoot us an email at support@flexilis.com and we'll help you out!

Yes, check out the site for details, or other smartphone forums where we are active, or even reviews like the one we got of our product over at http://www.myblackjack2.com/applications/utilities/flexilis/

If you have any specific questions, feel free to ask!

in a backup sense, yes, but we're trying to do more than dashwire does, and give you security options as well, like a/v, firewall, intrusion prevention, protection from bluetooth attacks, and more!

when you are selected for the beta and create your account, you are given an option to either have a download link sent to your phone, or to download it from our mobile website. Once the client is installed on your mobile device, just login/activate it once, and you're set to go! All of the tools Flexilis provides will be at your fingertips!

Just personal data, backing up applications can get mighty tricky, and can cause legal/licensing issues with some companies, so it's not something we support currently.

well if the apps are purchased then it will be just back up source so I think there won't be no licensing issues

There's nothing tricky about backing up applications and in my 25 years of IT I've NEVER had nor heard of ANY issues "legal/licensing" wise with backing up anything that one has a EULA for.
A statement like that is pure BS. Don't snow the snowman, pal. Lost your cred with me - I'll not be trying your product. -Q

Sorry to hear that Q-Area51. We currently don't backup applications right now. if that changes in the future and you want to give the software a try, let us know!

^Probably not, John, stick with Bluetooth.

And . . . Just for future reference: You might want to register on a forum personally, get involved a bit and then hawk your "stuff" with full discloser so it doesn't look so much like this spam that you've perpetrated on us. -Q

^EXACTLY . . . Like I said BS doesn't cut it. This guy's full of it. I'd never try anything someone spams around trying to sell, even if it is free. If ya can't trust what the geek says - ya can't trust the software. That's my stand. -Q

yeah, we're definately not backing up images of devices like acronis. In the end it boils down to it just not being something we're looking into right now, trying to backup Applications, registry data, etc to the cloud is something that wont work well for everyone, not everyone has a 3g or other high speed connection currently, so it's not been on the priority list. Great idea, just not feasible for us right now. We've got a lot of other neat security technologies on the way though, so stay tuned! :-)

So far seems cool and after trying to type a trip report up twice on my q9c and losing em before I can post....I give up

Has antivirus, firewall for phone, automated backup, homescreen status report, plus other stuff

Got accepted for beta in a couple of hours....worth trying out...I will see how it does on my battery life....still skeptical on antivirus for phones as airscanner drank up my battery life....my fricken phone was always dieing when I needed it most....it was bad

Already blocked one connection attempt, but I will have to see where the ip is from when I get home

Sounds interesting and overhead and battery usage would be my concerns as well. As far as the IP address goes, you can check it from your phone with IP Util in your Windows directory. Thanks for the update, man. -Q

Well so far it it still decent....as when I posted early this am I had one bar afteer dicking around with my phone and still pushing 3 emails at 30min intervals....but I cut my pocket weather down to like 3 hours for current conditions and once a day for the rest

I have found some bugs I need to report to the site....as I cannot turn the antivirus off when I want to.....on this phone anyway

Per some early posts on EQ, it has some issues with verizon q9c's, but not sprints.... Smile but this could have changed, Apparently those putz's have had this beta program since early november

So have I.I was one of a few users selected for beta testing in early Nov. This was over at the "other bugger site".Thought it was spam.Well it isn't.I just wish they wouldn't come right in on their first post and advertise their software.

I tried it out for a day.Why only a day? Well because Flexilis slows my phone down too much. It's doable but annoying. There's a little bit of delay when switching windows.Sometimes too long. The firewall part is nice.Only thing that bugs me about that is,it was blocking IP's from (something).I didn't know what it was. There were about 8 of them during the course of 4 hours.6 of them had the same IP address but a different port number.Anyway I uninstalled it thinking it was the cause of my connection problems.Because they just so magically appeared shortly after installing.Didn't go away after the uninstall.Apparently it's either my phone, the radio firmware or Verizon. But I doubt Flexilis.

The ability to replace backed up sms messages with this program blows dashwire out of the water....

But yeah, it was really buggy at first, it seems I jumped it at the right time, albeit some bugs still exist. I too wonder about these ports, as I am not getting port scanned that often on my PC unless norton firewall blows
